Ardbeg Heavy single malt Scotch whiskey is made from 100% malted barley, distilled in traditional pot stills. The absence of the purifier during distillation allows the heaviest vapors to rise, creating a bold and untamed flavor profile.

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is unique due to the absence of the purifier on the still, which typically balances the peat and floral notes. This process results in a whiskey with intense, darker flavors. The whiskey is matured in ex bourbon casks and bottled nonchill filtered at 50.2% alcohol by volume (ABV). It is aged for 10 years in oak barrels, allowing it to develop a deep complexity and rich character.
