Montes Purple Angel

Montes Purple Angel is Chile's Superior Carmenere, also recognized as Chile's best Carmenere wine. It is an elegant, superb wine that represents a whole new dimension for Carmenere. It originated from the Valley of Colchagua, one of the most internationally prestigious Chilean wine valleys, in which Vina Montes was a pioneer in establishing its production, the long lost grape variety Carmenere that recently resurfaced in Chile after being presumed extinct in Bordeaux. Its recommended serving temperature is 17 to 19 degrees Celsius or 63 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a blend of the grape varieties Carmenere and Petit Verdot aged in first-use French oak barrels, and nearly 70% of the wine is aged for 18 months. It contains 15% alcohol by volume (ABV). Critics worldwide have named this wine a wine from another planet.

Aroma: Elegant on the nose, with ripe red and black berries over a background sweet notes. Stored in French oak barrels, which add aromas of dark chocolate and coffee, complementing fruity aromas of this typical variety. Palate: It is a well structured wine that is full of tannins and smooth.
