Akashi Ume Whiskey is a beautiful fusion of tradition, craftsmanship, and coastal influence from Japan's renowned Eigashima Shuzo distillery. Situated just a short distance from Kobe Bay, the distillery is known as the first in Japan to obtain a whiskey-making license back in 1919, blending centuries of sake-brewing expertise with meticulous whiskey production.

This distinctive expression takes inspiration from Ume-Shu, Japan's traditional plum liqueur. In late spring, green plums are hand-harvested and combined with rock sugar, then steeped in mature Akashi whiskey for 6 months to 1 year.
