    Product Description

Antinori Tignanello is a defining expression of modern Italian winemaking from the historic Marchesi Antinori estate in Tuscany, Italy. Crafted under the Toscana IGT classification, this iconic red blend unites 79% Sangiovese, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Cabernet Franc, embodying the perfect harmony between Tuscan tradition and international sophistication. First produced in 1971, Tignanello was a groundbreaking innovation that redefined Italian wine, becoming one of the original Super Tuscans and setting new standards of quality and character that endure to this day.

Aged 17 months in French and Hungarian oak, three months in neutral oak during malolactic fermentation, followed by 14 months, 50% in new barrels, the 2021 Tignanello achieves seamless integration of fruit, oak, and spice. It balances power with elegance, showcasing both the richness of the vintage and the purity of Sangiovese’s bright, tensile character. With its remarkable depth and longevity, this wine will continue to evolve gracefully for decades.

The wine stands among the finest, having been awarded 98 points by Vinous Media and The Wine Advocate, and recognized as #3 Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator (2024). It represents the pinnacle of balance, depth, and refinement.

Serving suggestion: Decant for at least one hour to allow its layered aromas and textures to unfold. Serve at 60 to 64 degrees Farenhite (16 to 18 degrees Celsius) alongside dishes such as Tuscan-style lamb, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, or truffle risotto. The Antinori Tignanello is not just a benchmark of Italian excellence; it is a celebration of five decades of innovation, craftsmanship, and enduring legacy in the art of winemaking.
