This distillery-only release begins with carefully preparing the blend of mature American whiskeys aged 9 to 18 years, selected for balance, depth, and long-term structure before any finishing. The pre-blend components include a 15-year-old Kentucky bourbon made from 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley; a 14-year-old Kentucky bourbon with a mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 4% malted barley; a 9-year-old Indiana rye-forward bourbon composed of 45% corn, 51% rye, and 4% malted barley; and an 18-year-old Tennessee bourbon distilled from 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley. Once blended, the whiskey is finished for an extended 28 months in Japanese Hokkaido Mizunara oak, allowing the rare wood to layer distinctive notes of sandalwood, subtle coconut, and incense over a classic American bourbon foundation of caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla.
Bottled at an alcohol by Volume (ABV) of 54.65% ABV, this release showcases both the maturity of its components and the nuanced influence of Mizunara oak, resulting in a deeply expressive and singular whiskey.
