Casa del Sol Blanco Tequila is produced by The Casa del Sol tequila distillery located in the Altos de Jalisco region of Mexico, which is co founded by Mexican American actress, producer, director, and entrepreneur Eva Longoria, made from 100% Blue Weber agave that is grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico and produced using traditional, handcrafted methods that involve hand selected and grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico for at least seven years. The agave is grown using sustainable practices that rely on rainwater and sunlight.
The pina are hand cutted and then halved and cooked in an autoclave for 8 to 10 hours. The cooking process uses steam produced by burning the trimmings from the process. The pinas are removed from heat and crushed to extract the sugars, which are then transformed into alcohol, or mosto. The tequila is distilled multiple times, first in stainless steel and then in copper stills, to reduce harshness and remove impurities. The Casa del Sol Blanco was crafted to deliver the pure essence of agave with its smooth and complex body. Complete with pleasant hints of fresh agave, mint and warmed by notes of spice and caramel green apple with 40% alcohol by volume (ABV). Casa del Sol Blanco tequila pairs well with light fares like seafood, sushi, and ceviche. It is also enjoyed as a tequila cocktail, like a margarita.
