Champs de Provence Rose comes from the Cote de Provence AOC, the heart of southern France's rose tradition. Produced from a blend of 55% Grenache, 25% Cinsault, and 20% Syrah and Rolle, the grapes are grown in soils composed of limestone, clay, and sandstone at the southern foothills of Montagne Sainte-Victoire, a landscape famously depicted in the works of Paul Cezanne. Hand-harvested at night to preserve freshness, the grapes are pressed and cold-stabilized before fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Each variety is vinified separately and then aged on the fine lees for several weeks before being blended. Bottled at 13% alcohol by volume (ABV), this refined rose captures the balance and minerality of the Provencal terroir.
The Cote de Provence region, known for producing over 88% of its wines from rose varieties, has a centuries-long winemaking tradition and is characterized by a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers, mild winters, and the cooling influence of the Mistral winds. This terroir imparts freshness and bright acidity, making Champs de Provence a classic expression of the region's rose style. This dry rose pairs beautifully with seafood, charcuterie, and fresh fruit, or can be enjoyed on a patio with friends on a warm day.
