Clynelish 14 Year Old

Clynelish whisky leans closer to an Island style than other mainland malts, offering a complex and fragrant nose with an agreeable, long finish that leaves a lingering fresh, fruity flavor. This 14-year-old expression is lighter in body, deliciously drinkable, and makes an excellent aperitif.

This whiskey has earned numerous accolades over the years, including Gold at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Silver at the 2010 International Spirits Challenge, and multiple Gold medals at the International Wine & Spirits Competition from 2006 to 2009. It also received Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2006 and 2009, along with Silver in 2008 and 2009. Additional recognition includes Gold at The Scotch Whiskey Masters in 2009 and 2010, as well as Silver at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Color: Firm, light to medium.

Aroma: Wax comes up with water scented candle wax. Dried flowers on a beach. Later, brown sugar.

Palate: Pleasant creamy mouthfeel; maritime generally.

Finish: Some salt, dryish yet an attractive, even slightly bitter finish.
