Cocchi Americano is a timeless aromatized wine, first made in 1891 by Giulio Cocchi, and has been produced without interruption ever since, following the original recipe. Its name comes from the Italian word "amaricato", referring to the gentle bitterness imparted by herbs and spices, and nods to the American tradition of enjoying vermouth over ice with soda. This delicate aperitif blends white wine with a small amount of bittered alcohol infused with carefully selected botanicals, including gentian flowers, Artemisia, Cinchona, bitter orange peel, elderflower, and other herbs. The result is a perfectly balanced, aromatic wine that can be enjoyed on its own, over ice, or as the foundation for classic cocktails. With 16.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), Cocchi Americano is light, refreshing, and wonderfully versatile.
