Codigo 1530 Ancestral Mezcal is an ultra-premium mezcal tequila from Mexico, crafted in partnership with a village of skilled artisans who have perfected their craft over generations. This rare expression honors the origins of mezcal and the traditions of the San Juan del Rio region of Oaxaca, where every batch is made using ancient methods without any machines or automation. The agave used is 100% Papalome, locally sourced and cooked in earthen ovens. It is hand-mashed using a wooden stick, fermented in open air within leather vats, and distilled in clay pot stills. 

Codigo 1530 Ancestral Mezcal is clear in appearance and offers a perfectly balanced flavor profile. The nose reveals earthy aromas of clay and hazelnut. At the same time, the palate delivers notes of honey and tobacco, finishing with a gentle touch of smoke. It has a 43.1% alcohol by volume (ABV), 86.2 proof, and is gluten-free and additive-free. It is best enjoyed responsibly, whether sipped neat, on the rocks, or mixed into cocktails. This mezcal is a single-village production, and its handcrafted nature makes it exceptionally rare and highly valued.
