Domaine des Galuches Chinon Rouge

Domaine des Galuches Chinon Rouge originates from the Loire Valley, where Christian Millerand established the estate in 1995 on his family's land in Savigny-en-Veron. The vineyards are situated at the confluence of the Loire and Vienne Rivers, on gravel and sand soils known as "galuche stone," which produces red wines with both fruit expression and elegance. Certified organic and sustainable, the vineyard benefits from a temperate climate that enhances purity and freshness in the wines. Produced entirely from Cabernet Franc, the grapes are harvested by hand in small crates, destemmed, and gently crushed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where they remain for 15 days with daily pump-overs. The wine is then aged on fine lees to preserve its fruit-forward style. This wine contains 12.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). It pairs beautifully with roasted meats, duck, or salami, making it a versatile choice for both casual meals and refined dining.

Aroma: Red fruit and cedarwood.

Palate: Red cherry with layers of licorice and spice, round and chewy texture, Balanced, with potential to soften further in 2–3 years of ageing.
