Dona Paula Altitude Series 1050 Cabernet Sauvignon

Dona Paula Altitude Series 1050 Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the distinctive terroir of Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza, where altitude, soil, and climate converge to produce expressive, high-altitude wines. This blend, comprising 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec, originates from the El Alto estate, where the clay-rich soils and warm summer days impart structure, finesse, and ripeness to the grapes.

Harvested in early April, the wine undergoes fermentation with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by a 14-day maceration. It is then aged in French oak barrels, 20% of which are first-use, for added complexity and depth. This wine contains 14% alcohol by volume (ABV). The Altitude Series has received substantial acclaim, with this Cabernet Sauvignon earning 92 points, reinforcing its position as one of Argentina’s top high-altitude expressions. It pairs beautifully with pasta in red sauce, grilled beef, tacos with criolla sauce, eggplant-based dishes, winter stews, or slow-cooked meats.
