    Product Description

Dona Paula Altitude Series 1350 Red comes from the Alluvia Vineyard in Gualtallary, Tupungato, Uco Valley, planted at 1,350 meters above sea level. The soils here are sandy with alluvial and calcareous stones. At the same time, the region's climate combines warm days and cool nights, resulting in a wide thermal amplitude that produces wines of structure, freshness, and depth.

The vineyards are sustainably managed, irrigated with snowmelt water through drip systems, and yield 10 tons per hectare. The blend is composed of 50% Cabernet Franc, 45% Malbec, and 5% Casavecchia. Harvest begins in mid-April with Malbec and Casavecchia and concludes with Cabernet Franc at the end of the month. After handpicking, the grapes are gently destemmed, and each variety undergoes cold maceration separately in stainless steel tanks to preserve its aromatic expression.

Once fermentation is complete, the blend is aged for 14 to 16 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new. With 14.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), it offers both depth and refinement. This wine has been internationally recognized, earning 92 points from both Tim Atkin and James Suckling, as well as 93 points from Robert Parker, underscoring its standing among Argentina's finest high-altitude blends. It pairs beautifully with rich and savory dishes such as bifes a la criolla, ossobuco, wild game, stewed meats, or mushroom-based recipes.
