Dona Paula Los Cardos Cabernet Sauvignon

Dona Paula Los Cardos Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the El Alto Vineyard in Ugarteche, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, where vines are planted at 1,050 meters above sea level on sandy loam soils. The vineyard benefits from warm days, cool nights, and a thermal amplitude of 14 degrees Celsius, with an average annual rainfall of just 250 mm. Grapes are harvested in late March and early April, then gently destemmed and softly crushed.

A cold pre-fermentative maceration preserves aromatic intensity before traditional fermentation, and a 10- to 15-day post-fermentation maceration follows. Malolactic fermentation follows, resulting in a smooth, balanced red wine. Carrying 12.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), it achieves a balance of freshness and richness. It pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, pork, pasta in tomato sauce, risotto, empanadas, or pizza, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of occasions.

Color: Deep ruby red.

Aroma: Expressive and spiced with black pepper, graphite, and cassis.

Palate: Dominated by black fruits, supported by kind tannins.

Finish: Long and elegant.
