Finca Las Moras Barrel Select Malbec is produced in the Pedernal Valley of San Juan, Argentina, at an altitude of 4,429 feet above sea level. The mild climate, with an average temperature of 68°F, supports a long growing season, yielding grapes with excellent fruit depth. Coarse soils with low water retention are nourished by drip irrigation sourced from the melting glaciers of the Andes. At the same time, vertical trellising ensures optimal air flow and even clusters.
The wine is made from 100% Malbec, manually harvested, destemmed, and macerated on the skins for 25 days before aging in French and American oak for 12 months. Containing 14% alcohol by volume (ABV), it is rich and structured, consistently earning 91–93-point ratings from international critics. This Malbec pairs beautifully with roasted meats such as pork, duck, or rabbit, as well as ripe cheeses.
Aroma: Complex with ripe red berry and plum layered with spice and a hint of mint.
Palate: Full-bodied with depth of fruit and spice.
