Gionelli Lambrusco comes from Emilia-Romagna, Italy, and carries the Lambrusco I.G.T. designation. Made from 100% Lambrusco grapes harvested in early September from vines averaging 8-10 years old, the wine undergoes traditional winemaking, including skin maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel.
After initial fermentation, a second addition of must restarts the fermentation process, creating the lightly sparkling "frizzante" style. Containing 8% alcohol by volume (ABV), this Lambrusco shows freshness and balance, pairing well with cured meats, pasta dishes, and mild cheeses, and serving as an enjoyable everyday sparkling red.
