Green River Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon carries forward a legacy that began in 1885 when John McCulloch founded Kentucky's 10th-oldest licensed distillery. With 45% alcohol by volume (ABV) (90 Proof), this bourbon is made on the original grounds and perfected by an eighth-generation Master Distiller. Using a mashbill of 70% Kentucky-grown corn, 21% wheat, and 9% 6-row barley, it opens with inviting aromas of peach, caramel, apricot, and cinnamon. The palate bursts with toffee, pastry, and hazelnut flavors, leading to a smooth, honeyed finish. Lighter and easier drinking than its rye-backed counterpart, the wheated expression maintains its own distinct character, offering a modern take on a classic Kentucky recipe.
