    Product Description

Kerr Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine crafted from grapes sourced in Napa Valley, California, to express depth, balance, and refined structure produced by Kerr Cellars. The blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Merlot and Petit Verdot added for harmony. Grapes are sourced from three highly regarded vineyards, like Stagecoach, Red Hen, and Wappo, each contributing a distinct character to the final composition.

The winemaking process begins with hand-harvesting between September and October, during a season marked by a cool, extended first half and a warm, concentrated ripening period. This results in grapes with exceptional purity, texture, and balance. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 22 months in 85% new French oak barrels, enhancing its structure and depth while integrating plush tannins and layered aromatics.

Kerr Cabernet Sauvignon has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 14.7% and is best served at 60 to 63 degrees Fahrenheit to appreciate its aromatic depth and refined mouthfeel fully. With limited production, each bottle showcases the craftsmanship of winemaker Helen Keplinger and the expressive potential of Napa Valley grapes. This wine pairs exceptionally well with a range of rich and savory dishes. Its bold structure and layered dark fruit profile make it a natural match for grilled or roasted red meats such as beef and lamb. It also complements poultry prepared with strong sauces, as well as game meats like venison and deer, which highlight the wine's earthy undertones. For cheese pairings, mature and complex varieties, such as aged cheddar, Gouda, or Parmesan, bring out the wine's depth and balance. These combinations enhance the plush tannins and warming spice notes, making for a refined and satisfying culinary experience.
