Koloa Kauai Dark Rum

Koloa Kauai Dark Rum is made from pure cane sugar, distilled in an impressive vintage 1,210-gallon, steam-powered copper pot still, and cut with filtered water from the ancient Mount Waialeale. It has been distilled twice at 160-180 ABV.Koloa Kauai Dark Rum is distilled, blended, and bottled by Koloa Rum Company in Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii. It has 40% ABV and 80 Proof.

Color: This dark rum is genuinely deep chocolate brown. It rolls with a cloying viscosity around the glass, developing into thick, slowly rolling light black coffee-colored legs.

Aroma: The robust vanilla scent of this dark rum is not to be missed, as it fills the air around the glass. Upon closer inspection, the aromatic vanilla is complemented by subtler hints of dark semi-sweet chocolate, freshly brewed espresso, and chocolate cupcakes, creating a rich olfactory experience.

Palate: This vanilla-driven dark rum sings from the nose to the glass. It presents robust flavors of vanilla and dark semi-sweet chocolate.

Finish: It lightly finishes with espresso, all-encompassing, within a dry, highly flavorful dark rum.
