Laelia Blanco Tequila is a silver tequila from Laelia in Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume (ABV) and 80 proof. It is produced from fully mature, 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley of Jalisco, simmered in traditional stone-and-brick ovens, and extracted using a tahona to highlight the agave's purity. Fermentation takes place in open-air wood tanks with fibers using deep well water, followed by double distillation in copper pot stills to preserve clarity and texture. After distillation, the tequila is rested in American white oak barrels for up to 14 days. This brief period softens the spirit while maintaining its fresh, agave-driven profile. This production approach emphasizes traditional methods and minimal oak influence, allowing citrus, herbal, and subtle spicy notes to remain at the forefront.
The process and profile focus on balance and freshness, with light oak contact contributing delicate hints of vanilla and wood without overshadowing the agave. Laelia Blanco Tequila can be enjoyed neat in a tasting glass to fully appreciate its aromas and flavors, used in signature cocktails where its clean structure elevates the drink, or paired with Mexican ceviches, fresh seafood, guacamole, or lightly seasoned salads. It offers a versatile expression that highlights the natural character of agave while remaining approachable and food-friendly.
