Lagavulin Distillers Edition is a distinguished single malt Scotch Whiskey crafted by the renowned Lagavulin Distillery owned by Diageo on the picturesque Isle of Islay in Scotland. With a rich heritage from 1816, this distillery is celebrated for its robust and smoky whiskies, deeply influenced by the island's unique terroir. The Lagavulin Distillers Edition is made using locally sourced barley and the island's distinctive peat smoke, which imparts its signature smoky flavor. This whiskey is a classic Islay single malt known for its intense and complex profile. The production process begins with carefully selecting the finest malted barley, mashed and fermented, to create a rich, flavorful wash. After the initial aging in American oak casks, the whiskey undergoes a second maturation in ex Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
