Mars IWAI Tradition Blended Japanese Whiskey

Kiichiro Iwai (pronounced “E-Y”) is the namesake of this blended whisky from Mars. Malt-driven and complex, Iwai Tradition reflects contemporary Japanese whisky expressions. Made primarily from malted barley with added richness from grain, it is matured in a mix of ex-bourbon, sherry, and red wine barrels. A touch of peated malt adds depth, resulting in a harmonious blend that is full of toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, and black tea flavors, which would make Iwai-san proud. Notes of ripe cherry, honey toffee, and a hint of ginger spice round out the profile. Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume (ABV).
