Mezcal Nucano Espadin Joven is a traditional mezcal from San Dionisio, Oaxaca, produced by third- and fourth-generation Maestro Mezcaleros. Made from Espadin agave that matures for approximately 8 years before harvest, this mezcal is prepared using traditional, time-honored artisanal methods. The agaves are roasted in underground pit ovens, crushed with a Tahona stone, naturally fermented in wooden vats, and double-distilled in small copper pot stills. With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 45%, it showcases the pure essence of Espadin, balancing smoky, nutty, and sweet flavors.
Each bottle of Nucano is individually numbered, emphasizing its authenticity and small-batch production. The brand pays tribute to Oaxaca's rich cultural history, carrying the story of Prince Nucano and Princess Donaji, while also giving back to the local community by funding scholarships for Oaxacan children.
