Mezcal Union Uno

Mezcal Union is an artisanal, handcrafted spirit produced by the union of Zapotec mezcal-producing families from the Sierra of Oaxaca, Mexico. Their mission is to unite families by offering a fair trade business model and a path to social development. Born with the intention of creating positive change in Mexico, Mezcal Union believes that unity and collaboration are the only ways to preserve the millenary tradition of producing artisanal mezcal. This blend combines 8-year-old agave Espadin and 14-year-old wild agave Cirial, delivering an impressive range of flavors with fruity, herbal, woody, citrus, and earthy notes, lightly smoked and perfectly balanced between the character of the agaves and the aromas of the process. The harvested plants are cooked in a conical underground rock pit oven using Encino wood fire and pre-selected river stones, then fermented with natural yeast and distilled twice in copper stills.
