Michel Picard Vouvray

Michel Picard Vouvray is a classic Loire Valley white wine made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes. Produced by winemaker Marc Vappereau at Maison Foucher, this wine reflects the diversity of the Vouvray appellation, with fruit sourced from the villages of Vouvray, known for its clay and sand soils, and Nazelle-Négron, noted for its silica and gravel soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under temperature control, then halted to retain a natural sweetness, resulting in the Demi-Sec style. With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 12%, it balances off-dry sweetness with vibrant acidity, creating a harmonious and refreshing profile.

The wine opens with bright fruit aromas of apricot and pear, leading to a palate framed by fresh apricot and stone fruit flavors. The subtle sweetness is perfectly countered by the hallmark acidity of Chenin Blanc, keeping the wine fresh, round, and lively.
