Antoine Amedie Peychaud, the creator of the world-famous Peychaud's Bitters, began his craft in the 1800s at an apothecary in New Orleans' French Quarter. There, he mixed brandy with his bitters to serve patrons, quickly building a reputation for quality and simplicity. Peychaud later became the lead bartender at the Sazerac Coffee House, where his bitters-based cocktails gained acclaim and helped shape the history of cocktails. Inspired by that legacy, Peychaud's Aperitivo carries forward his vision of refined flavor and balance.
Bright and versatile, this aperitivo reveals zesty orange and grapefruit layered with herbal notes, creating a light yet complex bittersweet character. Perfectly designed for mixing, Peychaud's pairs well with a wide variety of spirits and mixers, offering countless possibilities for creative cocktails. At 11% alcohol by volume (ABV), it strikes a balance between approachability and flavor.
