Pieropan Soave Classico

Pieropan Soave Classico is crafted by the renowned Pieropan winery located in the picturesque Soave region of Veneto, Italy. The wine is made primarily from Garganega grapes, which comprise 85 to 90% of the blend, with the remaining 10 to 15% being Trebbiano di Soave. The vineyards are situated on volcanic and calcareous soils at an altitude of 100 to 300 meters above sea level, benefiting from a west facing aspect.

The aging process for Pieropan Soave Classico involves fermenting the grapes at low temperatures in glass lined concrete tanks, where the wine remains on its fine lees for a period that varies according to the vintage. After bottling in the spring following the harvest, the wine is released in the bottle after at least an additional month with 12% alcohol by volume (ABV).

When it comes to food pairings, Pieropan Soave Classico is incredibly versatile. It pairs wonderfully with vegetable based starters and soups, such as asparagus, peas, and courgette, as well as egg based dishes. It also complements seafood and freshwater fish dishes, making it an excellent choice for an aperitif when served with simple canapes.
