The story of Madonna Liebfraumilch reaches back over six centuries. In 1400, Capuchin monks built a monastery and church dedicated to Our Dear Lady, surrounded by vineyards whose wines were said to rival "the milk of Our Dear Lady." When Peter Joseph Valckenberg acquired the property in 1808, he became the first to market these exceptional wines under the name Liebfraumilch.

By 1908, his descendants distinguished the original site as Liebfrauenstift and the surrounding vineyards as Madonna, preserving a tradition of excellence and devotion.

Today, Madonna continues to represent the best of German white wine heritage, including premium selections like Kabinett, Spatlese, and Auslese, for richer expressions of flavor and depth.
