    Product Description

Salvestrin is a Napa Valley name with deep roots and an unbroken legacy. The family has been farming the same St. Helena estate since 1932, on vineyard land originally planted by Napa pioneer Dr. George Belden Crane in the late 1850s, making it one of the valley's oldest continually farmed sites. The Salvestrins still live on the property and manage every aspect of the farming themselves, producing only about 5,500 cases annually; an approach that combines historic Dr. Crane soils with hands-on, small-family craftsmanship.

The wine is especially significant, marked by wildfires yet defined by rigorous selection from top producers who harvested early, tested extensively, and bottled only their highest-quality lots. The result is a low-yield, high-intensity wine with remarkable concentration and personality. It is approachable now, pairs easily with steak, burgers, or a relaxed evening at home, and also has the structure to age gracefully for years.

Critics agree: it earned 92 points from Wine Spectator, 91 from Wine Enthusiast, who described it as youthful, muscular, and packed with red and dark fruit. 91 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, which praised its ripe cherry and raspberry character, medium-to-full body, refined tannins, and long finish.

Aroma: Black cherry, cassis, blackberry, cedar, and delicate floral tones.

Palate: Full-bodied yet silky, with refined tannins and bright freshness.

Finish: Long, lingering depth of dark fruit, mocha, and subtle spice.
