Taylor Fladgate Very Old Single Harvest Port is a Tawny Port dessert and fortified wine from the Douro region of Portugal. This Taylor Fladgate wine comes from a single harvest. It is aged for decades in seasoned oak casks before bottling, with a limited release celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the harvest.
The long cask aging reveals rich aromas of dried fruits, roasted nuts, caramel, and warm spice. At the same time, the palate offers layers of honey, fig, orange marmalade, and subtle coffee notes balanced by fresh acidity. It pairs well with aged cheeses, nut-based desserts, and dried fruits. This wine received 98 points from Wine Spectator, 97 points from James Suckling, and 95 points from Mark Squires.
