Crafted in a small town in the highlands of Jalisco, Dwayne Johnson founded Teremana Tequila in partnership with a Mexican family-owned distillery that built a dedicated home for the brand, Destileria Teremana de Agave. There, Teremana is made with a deep respect for tradition, producing tequila the right way: in small batches, by hand. Using 100% Blue Weber agave from the highlands, the agave is roasted for three days in brick ovens to bring out its bright citrus flavors before being shredded to extract the juice for fermentation. The leftover agave fibers are repurposed as organic compost for the fields.
After open-tank fermentation, the tequila is double-distilled in handmade copper pot stills crafted by a local artisan at the distillery. This traditional method not only honors Mexico's heritage of tequila-making but also yields a cleaner, smoother spirit. Aged in American whiskey barrels and bottled at 80 proof, Teremana embodies authenticity and craftsmanship in every drop.
