Torresella Pinot Grigio is a white wine from the Veneto region of Italy. Produced from 100 percent Pinot Grigio grapes grown in the eastern part of the Province of Venice, the vineyard sits on land with riverine alluvial and clayey soils, which contribute to the wine's clean, refined character. The vines are trained using the Sylvoz system, with a plant density of 3,000 to 4,800 vines per hectare, and grapes are harvested in the first half of September. It is gluten-free.
The production process begins with a soft pressing performed immediately upon the grapes' arrival at the winery, allowing them to be vinified as white wine. The must is then cooled to 10 degrees Celsius to become naturally clear before alcoholic fermentation is triggered with selected yeasts, and it is maintained at a controlled temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. This careful, temperature-controlled approach preserves the finesse and aromatic integrity that define this wine's profile. With 12% alcohol by volume (ABV) (24 Proof) and an aging potential of 2 to 3 years, Torresella Pinot Grigio is best enjoyed while its freshness is at its peak.
An excellent aperitif, Torresella Pinot Grigio also pairs well with elaborately prepared fish dishes, light seafood plates, and delicate first courses, where a dry, refined white wine can complement without overpowering. It is best served in a medium-sized, tulip-shaped glass narrowing at the rim, at a temperature of 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, which allows its aromatic finesse to come through most clearly.
