This is a SmokeStock Wood Fired, a rye whiskey made from a high rye mash bill. The exact proportions are undisclosed, but it is known for its bold and spice forward profile, which is characteristic of WhistlePig's rye whiskeys. The making process involves a two step smoking process. First, the whiskey is aged in char barrels of American Oak, which does not carry an age statement. Then, it is smoked "slow and low" using Traeger's Apple BBQ wood pellets. Additionally, the water used to prove the whiskey is also smoked, infusing the spirit with rich, smoky flavors and having 43% alcohol by volume (ABV).
