Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris is a delightful white wine from Oregon's Willamette Valley, produced by Willamette Valley Vineyards. This wine is crafted from 100% Pinot Gris grapes, showcasing the varietal's fresh and fruity characteristics. The vision for this wine highlights the aromas and flavors of apple, pear, and citrus, which can develop into notes of honey and baking spices as it ages. This refreshing, dry wine has a crisp character with balanced acidity that is not overwhelming, resulting in a smooth finish that is easy to drink. The grapes were harvested at peak ripeness, and the whole clusters were lightly pressed. The must was cold settled and then transferred to stainless steel tanks, where it was inoculated with a yeast strain that enhances fruit forward crispness and provides a rich mouthfeel. Fermentation occurred and lasted approximately five weeks. The wine is sur lee aged with a 13.32% alcohol by volume (ABV).
