Blue Run Trifecta Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a small-batch whiskey that showcases the art of blending high-quality base whiskey with older "wood heat" whiskeys for depth and character. Less than half of the blend is composed of finely crafted six-year-old whiskey, while two additional whiskeys aged in the upper reaches of their rickhouses contribute vivid flavors and aromas. At 58.55% alcohol by volume (ABV) and 117.1 proof, Trifecta delights with a nose of unsalted brown butter, French vanilla cream, warm dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and subtle notes of figs and dehydrated apples. The palate is silky and layered, featuring notes of cinnamon-spiced candied apple, baked bread, caramel, peppermint, and white chocolate, balanced by a lingering wood char. The finish is warm and smooth, with vanilla and weathered oak creating a medium, approachable conclusion.
